Business Overview

We are a cooperative society composed of companies from different industries, and we develop technologies on wood and wooden buildings to make effective use of trees brought by forest thinning both in Japan and worldwide. We glue and process such trees as well as small-diameter trees with extreme care to develop and deliver lumbers, which can be used for structural and decorative purposes upon construction. We also develop and install wooden benches and/or resting places to public facilities, offering users natural warmth of wood.

Product / Commodity Name

* Development, manufacturing and sales of products made from trees brought by forest thinning in Fukushima and other prefectures (e.g. school desks & chairs)
* Development of new construction method for wooden houses using panel system (Skeleton Wood System Method)
* Achieve stable delivery of high-quality lumbers using kiln drying system

Message from a Representative

Fukumoku (Fukushima Cooperative Society of Technology Development for Wood) was founded in 1992 by 5 companies handling wood and construction work from different industries in Fukushima prefecture, aiming for making effective use of natural resources, trees. We glue and process such trees as well as small-diameter trees with extreme care to develop and deliver lumbers, which can be used for structural and decorative purposes upon construction. We offer you healthy and environmentally-friendly ways of livings through our lumbers.

Technology You Want to Offer

* Our own original kilt drying system enables us to conduct stable delivery of high quality kiln-dried lumbers.
* Our school tables and chairs are widely used at schools in Fukushima prefecture. We utilize lumbers made from regional trees to manufacture benches and resting places in public facilities.
* Our members from different industries further develop housing construction system that requires wood.
* We systematize the ways of constructing temporary houses using lumbers to achieve their short delivery.
